GENERAL INFORMATION OF DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM GEOLOGY
The department was established in 1994 on the basis of the Department of Exploration Engineering to adapt the national demand for petroleum engineering human resources development. The mission of the department focuses on teaching,researching and services provision in the Petroleum Engineering field.
Full-time staff: 1 Associate Professors, 2 PhDs, 1 Masters.
Petroleum geology operates in the field of human resource training which majors in energy and earth resources, services provision in petroleum and geotechnical engineering, especially providing solutions in the field of oil and gas exploration and production.
FIELD OF ACTIVITIES
EDUCATION
Undergraduate: Petroleum Geology, Petroleum Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering.
Postgraduate: Master-PhD in Petroleum engineering.
Research: Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering, applied hydrogeology, sustainable and renewable energy resources.
RESEARCH
Conduct research at Viet Nam National University, University of Technologyand in cooperation with other enterprise and departments on Earth resources, focusing on Oil and Gas, groundwater.
SERVICE
Performing in research projects to provide services and support for oil and gas enterprises in exploration and production of Energy Earth's resources.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The set of International and Vietnamese books and materials in education training for petroleum engineering.
Equipment for investigation, exploration, measuring, drawing, processing, digitizing data and images.
Petroleum specialized software: Petrel, Eclipse, T-Navigator, IPM, Techlog, FRP, Petromod, Kappa.
