Introduction

• The Faculty has extended its training areas to Petroleum Engineering and accordingly changed its name to Faculty of Geology and Petroleum. It had then 4 departments:

- Geo-environment

- Geotechnics

- Petroleum Geology

- Drilling and Production Engineering

• From 2004 to present, The Faculty was renamed Faculty of Geology and Petroleum Engineering

• Brief Infomation

         - Teaching Staff: 33 (almost of them have been educated overseas)

         - Annual Enrollment: 160

         - Current Students: 800

         - To date, more than 800 students have graduated in geology, geotechnics, environmental geology, and petroleum engineering.
