On October 27, 2025, the Joint Venture Vietsovpetro, in collaboration with Petrovietnam University (PVU) and the Faculty of Geology and Petroleum Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), VNU organized an advanced training course on Petroleum Geomechanics.

Topic: Application of advanced geomechanical techniques in geomechanical modeling, wellbore stability, and sand control.

The course combined theoretical instruction with hands-on practice and real case studies from Vietnamese oilfields, enhancing the geomechanical modeling capabilities of young engineers toward smart production and sustainable energy development.
It also aimed to expand the network of experts across Vietnam’s petroleum sector.

More than just a training course, this initiative represents a significant step in knowledge transfer and capacity building for Vietnamese petroleum engineers in geomechanics, contributing to technological self-reliance and sustainable industry growth.
