This morning at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), students and petroleum engineers had a special opportunity to meet Prof. Peter Behrenbruch – a distinguished expert with over 40 years of international experience at Shell, Woodside, BHP Billiton, and SINOPEC, and one of the founding members of SPE Vietnam Chapter.

During the seminar on ICDMS (Integrated Core Data Modelling System), Prof. Peter introduced the latest global trends in digitalization and core data modelling for reservoir research and field development. The session featured vivid and practical demonstrations covering topics such as Reservoir Zonation, Capillary Pressure Modelling, and Relative Permeability.

More than just a technical seminar, the event inspired participants with a spirit of scientific curiosity, continuous learning, and innovation. It highlighted how young petroleum engineers can lead the way in applying modern technologies such as ICDMS, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Data, and Machine Learning in Vietnam’s petroleum industry.
