The discipline of Petroleum Engineering of HCMC University of Technology (Vietnam National University – HCM) maintains its position in the 51-100 section of QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. Six others occupy high rankings as well.
Petroleum Engineering alone (only offered by the Faculty of Geology and Petroleum Engineering - HCMUT) is in the Top 100 list, the highest position ever achieved by a Vietnamese university in the QS Rankings
